Marketing Hot Sheet: If a Picture Really is Worth a Thousand Words, What Story Does Your Brand Image Tell?

September 22, 2009

Regular readers will know I'm a big fan of creating metaphors when creating a brand. Your brand should inclue a picture or image that says in a big, bold way what you're about so your hungry fish will immediately remember you and what you stand for.

Rafael Mael, our chief marketing strategist, is fond of saying that your brand should be look like a road sign. Glance at a yield sign or a deer x-ing sign and you know exactly what it means. That's exactly what we did with the House Monster image below to promote Lou Brown's famous webinar and home study course for real estate invetors as part of a launch with a small group of affiliates. Results:

* 641 new names in only 3 days;
* 312 attendees to 2 webinars with closing rates as high as 25%;
* and $18,292 in product sales in the 3 days following the webinar.

CONSIDER: What images come to mind when you think about how your product or service helps others? How can you make the image fun? How can you make it stand out?
