Give your hungry fish a reason to take the bait!

Give your hungry fish a reason to take the bait!

Want your hungry fish to call or come in to see you? Sorry, but you may need more than just a good product or service to get them to take the first step. Offer a premium. A knife set or a clock are some of the best incentives to get your hungry fish to take the bait. Here's what I like about these promotions:

1. No strings attached. Just for coming into a restaurant, customers get a free knife set. Too many times, a great promotion like this is ruined by adding qualifiers such as, 'Minimum order is $40' or 'Valid only Monday-Thursday, 6 - 9 pm.' Don't include any weasel clauses. They will only depress your response and tarnish the customer-centered image you're trying to build.

2. Always include a picture of what you're offering. You're really selling the bonus to get your fish to take a first step with you.

3. Tell them why. This promotion immediately answers the question on everyone's mind: 'Why am I offering you this FREE clock? Because I am totally confident that you will wnat to hear the important message I have for you...' Always be prepared to answer your prospects' questions in your marketing.
